Water firm name change 'overdue'
The company in charge of supplying Jersey with water has changed its name.

The Jersey New Waterworks Company Limited will now be known as Jersey Water. But the former title will still remain as the official registered name.

Jersey New Waterworks was set up in 1882 and is the oldest registered company in the island.

The re-branding, which the company says is long overdue, is thought to have cost about £10,000. But people paying by cheque can use either name.
