Parish looking for new Centeniers
The Jersey parish of St John is looking for four new elected members of the Honorary Police force.

An Electoral Assembly is being held for parishioners to apply or be nominated to take over when current Centeniers' posts expire at the end of this month.

In addition to general policing matters, Centeniers are authorised to charge and bail offenders.

People interested in becoming the parish Procureur du Bien Public, can also put names forward for election.

The Procureur du Bien Public is in charge of looking after parish accounts, can also put their names forward for election.

The assembly is at 2000 GMT at St John's Parish Hall on Tuesday.
