Phone company offers new tariffs

Jersey Telecom's new tariffs come into force on Monday
Jersey Telecom has launched eight new mobile phone tariffs, claiming it is offering more benefits to customers.

Earlier this year the Jersey Competition and Regulatory Authority (JCRA) criticised Jersey Telecom saying its mobile prices were too high.

The company did not agree and has denied its new tariffs are a response to the criticism.

There is a range of variations on monthly contracts but Jersey Telecom says prices are not going up.

It says some customers will get free text messages and some have free talk time each month.

Mobile prices in the island will generally stay the same, although some customers may be better off.

The company's new tariffs come into force on Monday.
