Volunteers sought for bus inquiry
Jersey States
Panel members will have to scrutinise hundreds of documents
Jersey people have been asked to volunteer to be on a committee of inquiry into the island's bus service.

Three members stood down following controversy over whether they should be paid when Deputy Roy le Herissier claimed it should be a voluntary job.

The States agreed with Deputy le Herissier, leaving the posts unfilled.

Now Policy and Resources has advertised for people with good analytical skills and a knowledge of business to carry out the investigation.

The inquiry was set up into how Connex was awarded the island's bus contract.

Connex took over from Jerseybus nearly two years ago after the States committee in charge decided to allow other companies to bid for the contract.
