Substation daubed with swastikas
A Jersey electricity substation has been painted with swastikas and other graffiti.

The symbols were daubed on the building on the Rue De L'Est just off Regents Road between 1700 BST on Monday night and Tuesday morning.

The vandalism comes as veterans from Jersey prepare to travel to France to commemorate the 60th anniversary of D-Day.

Jersey Police want anyone who saw the spray painters to contact them.

PC Jane Linsall said: "This building stands on its own. Graffiti was daubed on it with black spray paint in the form of obscenities and swastikas.

"We don't want this type of vandalism to get out of hand, so we're asking anyone who saw this happen to call us."
