Airport radar dish spins no more
Jersey Airport's main radar dish is being switched off after 40 years of service and will be replaced by a system run jointly with Guernsey.

The radar dish with a 10m diameter has spun more than 200 million times in its four decades of operation.

The dish will be switched off at 1215 BST on Monday by Senator Len Norman. Many retired engineers who looked after it will attend the ceremony.

The new system will be supported by information from Guernsey Airport.
