Construction 'shock' of residents
Phone mast in Guernsey
The mast is being constructed in L'islet
People living in Guernsey are demanding better notice of planning applications on the island.

A group of neighbours say they were shocked to find a 50ft (15.25m) aerial being constructed within a short distance of their homes in L'islet.

Residents say they missed the planning notice in a local paper and existing consultation measures are insufficient.

The States Environment Department says site notices are to be introduced by the end of the year.
