A change of rules has resulted in a rise in the number of people eligible for social housing in Guernsey.
The States housing department has decided to raise the annual income threshold to increase the number of people who can apply.
Other changes to the allocation process promise a clearer, fairer system.
They will take into account financial circumstances, state of health and the amount of time people spend on the waiting list.
The new annual threshold for single applicants is £15,600, for couples it is £22,100 and for families £31,200.
