Members raise money for charity
A flag day in Guernsey on Saturday is being held to benefit people with learning disabilities.

Representatives from Guernsey's Mencap will be out raising funds for the charity which provides a valuable support network.

The group's chairwoman, Marelene Le Ray, says all the money which is raised stays in the island.

She said: "Throughout the year we have some demands on monies from some of our people who need it for various reasons.

"Every single penny goes directly to the people with learning disabilities and it stays here in Guernsey."
