Traders in Guernsey are discussing ways to regenerate the oldest parts of St Peter Port.
The Old Quarter Association met on Thursday evening and is hoping to give a voice to workers in the town.
The group will serve as a forum for shop owners who had businesses on or near Mill Street.
Its main aim will be to address on-going issues such as the town's markets, high rents and the lack of parking.
Group chairman Jonathan Jorgenson says he was pleased with the outcome.
He said: "Quite honestly it was a very good meeting. We hit on a lot of issues and also came to an understanding.
