Committee picks new vice-chairman
Guernsey States
The new committee is chaired by Deputy Rhoderick Matthews
The new members of Guernsey's Public Accounts Committee have been announced.

At its first meeting, the committee elected Deputy Leon Gallienne as its vice-chairman.

Other members are non-States members Mike Best, Chris Bradshaw, Susie Farnon and Jenny Tasker and Deputies Chris Brock, Brian Gabriel and Scott Ogier.

The committee is taking the place of the former Audit Commission and will be under the leadership of Deputy Rhoderick Matthews.

Deputy Matthews said: "Guernsey's new Public Accounts Committee has a crucial role in ensuring islanders get value for money from States' expenditure and that public assets and revenues are safe-guarded.

"I look forward to working closely with the other members of the committee to achieve this aim."
