Concern over redevelopment delay
St Peter Port
Still no agreement about when the redevelopment can begin
Guernsey businesses and shoppers are worried about the length of time being taken to re-develop the historic market site in St Peter Port.

The building contractors and the States still cannot agree on when rebuilding should start.

The Environment Department claims work could begin immediately, but contractors McAulay Developments say there is still a lot to be done.

Traders and customers in the area say the site is now an eyesore.
