Queen to be petitioned on waterfront
A former Jersey senator is to petition the Queen about proposals to give away land at the waterfront to a private company.

Dick Shenton has said he is concerned at plans to give £10m-worth of the foreshore away.

Les Pas has been claiming ownership of a large area of the waterfront for years.

The island's Policy and Resources Committee is proposing handing over the land to Les Pas Holdings to avoid possible court action.

Mr Shenton has organised a public meeting on Tuesday evening to discuss the Les Pas dispute.

He said he will reveal the details of his petition at the meeting in the Town Hall.
