In pictures: French church saga ends
Police in the French port of Calais have carried out an operation to remove nearly 100 illegal immigrants from a church, ending a five-day stand-off.
Riot police kept the church surrounded for five days
They finally intervened in the early hours of Thursday (AP)
There was no resistance as the migrants left (AP)
They were put on buses and taken to police stations (AP)
They have five days to claim asylum or face deportation
