The funeral of Prince Claus, the German-born husband of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands has taken place in the presence of kings and queens from the royal houses of Europe and Asia as well as tens of thousands of mourners.
A tearful Queen Beatrix led the mourning for late husband
Prince Claus's coffin lay in state in the Noordeinde Palace for four days
The nation paid a sombre tribute to one of its most popular royals
Europe's royal families were well represented
Prince Charles represented the British royal family
Some 6,000 soldiers lined the procession, as well as tens of thousands of civilian mourners
The procession from The Hague palace to the royal vault in Delft was nine kilometres long
Japanese royal house also took part in the funeral
The procession arrived at a 15th century church where Dutch royals have been interred for more than 400 years
