In pictures: Aznar's daughter marries
Royalty, politicians and show business personalities turned out of the lavish society wedding of Ana Aznar, daughter of Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar.
Correspondents say it's the most elaborate non-royal wedding Spain has experienced since the dictator, Francisco Franco, married off his daughter in 1950.
The couple held a pre-wedding party for hundreds of guests in Madrid on Tuesday
But it was Ana's father was on her arm at the El Escorial Monastery near Madrid on Thursday
Psychology student Ana, 20, was the centre of attention despite the array of guests
King Juan Carlos of Spain and Queen Sofia were among those who attended
Alejandro Tarik Agag, 31, is seen as a rising star in Aznar's governing conservative Popular Party.
The prime minister invited his British counterpart Tony Blair to act as witness for his daughter's wedding
The wedding even brought leaders from across the Atlantic
