In Pictures: French anti-Semitism protests
Thousands of people have marched through the streets of Paris and other French cities on Sunday in protest at a spate of recent attacks on Jewish schools, cemeteries and synagogues.
But the rally in Paris was marred by clashes between pro-Israeli activists and demonstrators despite a strong police presence.
About 50,000 protesters marched through Paris amid tight security
Protesters expressed their support for Israel in its confrontation with the Palestinians
The march was marred by attacks on journalists and marchers by some pro-Israeli demonstrators
Several protesters and journalists were beaten in the melee
Some arrests were made after the activists were dispersed with tear gas
