BGM-109 Tomahawk

The main cruise missiles in the US arsenal - and the sort the British have on fleet submarines - are Tomahawks, made by the Raytheon company of Tucson, Arizona.

[3] warhead
[4] digital scene matching illuminator
[5] main fuel tank
[6] terrain matching system
[7] turbojet subsonic engine

Length: 18 ft 3 in (5.56 m)
Weight: 2,900 lb (1,315 kg)
Warhead: 1,000 lb (454 kg) single or cluster bomb
Range: 1,000 miles (1,609 km)
Speed: about 550 mph (880 km/h)
