In pictures: Starvation in Argentina
Argentina's economic crisis has been thrown into the spotlight again after it defaulted on a debt repayment of more than $800m due to be paid to the World Bank last Thursday.
The crisis has plunged over half of the population into poverty. This week five children died from malnutrition in Tucuman province alone.

The conditions that some children are living in have shocked the nation
Argentina was once a fertile exporter of food but now some children are surviving on meals provided by charity
