Soldier dies while rock climbing

The incident happened on Sunday night
A 47-year-old man has been killed while on a rock climbing exercise near Castlemartin in Pembrokeshire, west Wales.

The man was a soldier in the Belgian Army.

Police in Pembroke Dock are investigating the death, which happened on Sunday evening.

The Health and Safety Executive and the Pembrokeshire Coroner have been informed.

This is the second accident in the area over the past few days.

On Saturday a climber was airlifted to hospital after falling down a rock face at St Govan's Head.
