RSPCA treat stranded dolphin
Dolphin (generic)
Dolphins are a common sight in Cardigan Bay
A dolphin is being treated by the RSPCA after becoming stranded on a beach in mid Wales.

The mammal was discovered at Ynys Locktyn, near Llangrannog, Ceredigion, on Monday.

The coastguard was alerted to its plight by a member of the public on Monday at 1226 (BST).

Coastguard officers sprayed the dolphin with water to keep it wet.

The RSPCA intended to use flotation equipment to get the dolphin back out to sea at high tide.
