Factory boost for sausage maker
Sausages generic
A £1m sausage factory is to open in mid Wales to cater for growing demand for a local company's products.

The Welsh Sausage Company, which has won awards for its range in the past, is to open the new factory in Welshpool in six months time.

The move will create 50 new jobs for the area.

Sausages made on the site will travel to the Far East after the company secured a deal to export them to Hong Kong.

Director John Langford said they were hoping to win orders from Heathrow airport and a major restaurant chain.

The company produces a range of specialist sausages, using only local Welsh meat.
