Stereophonics' Kelly among sexiest men
The Stereophonics
Kelly Jones (centre) has entered a new chart
Readers of a glossy magazine have voted Welsh rock singer Kelly Jones into the top ten of the "sexiest" men on the planet.

The lead singer with the Stereophonics came in at number six out of 100 top men in a survey compiled by the women's magazine, Company.

He was placed above singer Ricky Martin, film star George Clooney and Prince William by the magazine's 5,000 readers.

Robbie Williams: On top again

Robbie Williams topped the poll for the second year running, with Brad Pitt second, and Michael Greco - who plays Beppe Di Marco in BBC TV's soap Eastenders - a fast-rising third.

Kelly, who enjoyed top ten disc status with his band's Performance and Cocktails album, is one of five new entries in Company's hit list.

Jamie Oliver, the star of TV's latest cookery programme The Naked Chef ends up a place above Kelly at number five.

Jay Brown from the band Five came in at eight, ahead of film star Ben Affleck.

Manchester United soccer star David Beckham just failed to make the top ten, but his 11th position was four places higher than last year.

Prince William's 12th placing made him not only the youngest entry, but the highest-placed Royal ever to have appeared in the magazine's poll.

Age was, however, not the only factor.

Sixty-nine year-old Sean Connery held his own at number 22, two places ahead of teenage favourite - Titanic star Leonardo DiCaprio.

The top ten list in full was:

  • 1.Robbie Williams.
  • 2.Brad Pitt.
  • 3.Michael Greco.
  • 4.Jude Law.
  • 5.Jamie Oliver.
  • 6.Kelly Jones.
  • 7.Ricky Martin.
  • 8.Jay Brown.
  • 9.George Clooney.
  • 10.Ben Affleck.
