Church looks more sophisticated

The Cardiff-born star - who is expected to have access to the millions of pounds she has made when she turns 18 next year - said she had to make an emergency purchase for a high-profile show.

She admitted in an interview with the July edition of Q magazine that it was the most "ridiculous" thing she had ever bought.

"When I was in Las Vegas I needed dress for a show and so I bought a designer one for $7,000 dollars (£4,260)," she said. "I hate spending that much money, but we were running out of time so I had to get it."

The maturing singer's changing appearance is a constant source of interest. Earlier this year, she did a photoshoot with style magazine The Face which saw her being given a vampish transformation with dramatic make-up and revealing clothes.

Charlotte is willing to experiment with styles

Just a few weeks ago, she revealed she had turned down the chance to audition for a role in the Hollywood movie Phantom of the Opera after being told she would have to lose weight.

Charlotte's long-term relationship with Cardiff club DJ Steven Johnson has attracted much media attention, but she has insisted she has no plans to marry.
