In pictures: Macdonald's Merthyr magic
Ensuring his place at the cutting edge of fashion, Givenchy's Julien Macdonald left the London Fashion Week in the wake of another critically-acclaimed show.

Never easy to predict, the designer from Merthyr Tydfil in south Wales opted for bursts of colour and daring cuts across his autumn collection, which was fronted by controversial model Naomi Campbell.

Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd, former Eastender Martine McCutcheon and actress Joely Richardson were among celebrities watching the collection.
