Police probe £150,000 bank notes theft
The notes were stolen from a printing plant
Police are hunting for £150,000 in brand new bank notes which have been stolen from a specialist printing plant.
The newly-printed Scottish notes, due to be delivered to a bank in Edinburgh, disappeared from the high-security De La Rue plant on the Team Valley Industrial Estate in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

De La Rue's plant is one of Europe's biggest commercial banknote producers. Other security documents are also made there.
A spokesman at the Edinburgh-based Bank of Scotland said: "The £150,000 in notes that have been stolen from De La Rue's were destined to be delivered to us.
"The company will be reimbursing us for the amount."
At the Gateshead plant, a De La Rue spokesman refused to comment, adding that the incident was "an internal matter".
