A move to ensure children in Perth and Kinross are protected against the risk of abuse has been launched.
New guidance aims to ensure police as well as social work and health staff work more closely together to keep vulnerable youngsters safe.
The information outlines the different roles played by the agencies in protecting children.
The guidelines have been distributed to 1,200 child protection staff in agencies across Perth and Kinross.
Perth and Kinross Council's lifelong learning convener George Hayton, said: "Vulnerable children and young people will often depend on the help of more than one child protection agency.
