The leader of a group studying major public sports venues in Edinburgh has said national funding is inadequate for such facilities across the country.
Terry Christie, a former head teacher, said while the best option in Edinburgh would be to refurbish Meadowbank Stadium, the cost would not be viable.

Edinburgh Council are due to discuss the report at a meeting on Thursday.
