John Home Robertson to stand down

John Home Robertson said he will stand down next year
|
East Lothian Labour MSP John Home Robertson has announced that he is standing down from the Scottish Parliament at next May's elections.
It is understood that he has been offered a seat in the House of Lords.
The former minister has told his constituents he held talks on his future with Tony Blair last month.
He recently faced criticism for renting a flat from his son at the taxpayers expense but he said that had nothing to do with his decision to quit.
