A potential buyer has emerged for a troubled Scottish ski centre.
Receivers KPMG Corporate Recovery announced that Glencoe Mountain Resort Ltd was the preferred bidder for the Glencoe Ski Resort.
It is hoped the sale can be completed in the coming days, saving two permanent posts and many seasonal jobs.
Glencoe is part of the Glenshee Chairlift Company, which went into receivership last month. No buyer has yet been found for the Glenshee centre.
The two resorts were placed on the market in February after the company lost £1m in two years.
Economic activity
It blamed the mild winter and a lack of snow in recent years for the downturn in business.
Joint receiver Blair Nimmo said that the announcement of the preferred bidder was "very positive news".
"We are confident that the sale will complete over the next few days, so preserving employment and an important source of economic activity in the local
area," he said.
The 200-hectare Glencoe resort became Scotland's first commercial ski centre when it opened in 1956.
