Scots galleries compete for award
Landform
Edinburgh's Landform is among the prize nominations
Two Scottish art galleries are in the running for the UK's largest arts prize.

The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh and Glasgow's Gallery of Modern Art are among 13 nominated for the £100,000 Gulbenkian Prize.

The Edinburgh nomination is for Landform while Glasgow has been nominated for Sanctuary.

The winner is set to be announced in May.

Edinburgh's Landform is a permanent structure in front of the gallery by the architectural historian Charles Jencks.

And Glasgow's Sanctuary is an art exhibition which examines the issue of human rights

The £100,000 on offer is the largest single cash award in the UK.
