In pictures: Forbidden treasures
Treasures from the Forbidden City in Beijing are going on show in Edinburgh.

Two thirds of the objects in the show, which opens at the Royal Museum on Saturday, have never been seen outside China before.

The artworks from the Palace Museum in Beijing - a number of which are pictured below - include a sacred gold cup decorated with rubies, sapphires and pearls.
