A memorial service is to be held later this month for the Largs Academy pupil who died in a coach crash in France while on a school trip.

Two other pupils remain in hospital in France.

Elaine Jenkins, 13, is expected to stay there for several more days while Mark Nicol, 15, who suffered a crushed arm is unlikely to return before next week.

Iona McLachlan, 14, returned to Scotland on Tuesday with her mother and was transferred to Inverclyde Royal Hospital, Greenock.

The coach driver, Mark Chisholm, 31, from Edinburgh, faces charges of manslaughter and involuntary wounding.

A private funeral service for Katherine is expected to take place on Friday.
