Holidaymaker dies in Ibiza
Ibiza
The accident took place during a holiday
A Scottish holidaymaker has died after falling from a cliff in Ibiza, the Foreign Office has confirmed.

Rory Graham, from Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire, was on a two-week holiday on the Spanish Balearic Island.

The 22-year-old is understood to have suffered multiple injuries in the fall at Punta Galera on Sunday.

Police on the island do not think the death was suspicious, they are treating it as an accident

Foreign Office spokesman
Police on the island said they were not treating the death as suspicious.

A Foreign Office spokesman said Mr Graham was taken to a clinic on the island after being discovered in the water by a fishing boat crew.

"Mr Graham was alive but unconscious when he was taken to the clinic but later died," said the spokesman.

He also confirmed that in the days before the accident Mr Graham's family had heard a rumour in their home town that their son was dead.

However, police in Ibiza said they did not receive any reports concerning Mr Graham until the accident occurred.

"Police on the island do not think the death was suspicious, they are treating it as an accident," added the Foreign Office spokesman.
