Nasa launches Ibex probe

US space agency Nasa has launched the interstellar boundary explorer, or Ibex, which will explore the edges of the solar system.

The probe was launched aboard a Pegasus rocket, which was dropped from a jet 12,000 metres (40,000 ft) over the Pacific Ocean.
