Week by sending Jenny back to school - to Rushmore Primary School in
Hackney. She'll be asking dinner ladies, teachers and pupils about the Jamie Oliver
Effect: are his recommendations too costly and labour-intensive? And do children
actually want to eat this stuff?

One of the aspirations which the labour movement has hung onto was Messrs Blair and
Brown's vow to completely wipe out child poverty in a generation. So there's
disappointment at this morning's news: that the first major target on the way to
that goal has been missed, and missed by quite a margin. Laura tells us what's gone
wrong.

We're joined by Labour MP Eric Joyce, the
parliamentary aide to the Work & Pensions Minister Margaret Hodge. He attributes the problems to a growing economy:
"Because we've seen significant growth, the bar - to get the million children out of that - has been raised. Now, that's not to make excuses. We've made significant advances. It's not been quite enough - not as much as we'd hoped - and we have to catch that up over the next five years."
