In my view, the BBC was being politically correct when they banned this in the first place. I thought it was gripping, stood up dramatically. Patricia Hodge is uncanny as Thatcher in a lot of ways.

...She was really good. I thought this shows the problems with people in power having to make a tough decision on very short time, and the people who don't have power having the luxury to attack that. I thought it was refreshing perspective, and I think it's about time that it was shown.

It was very transcripty, to the extent you felt everything was one bit behind. You didn't get an insight into what must have been happening, the true drama. I felt that Margaret Thatcher was played more by Katie Boyle. Deep down, I could see why it was rejected as a thin piece of work televisually. It works better if you hear it on the radio.
