The troubled insurer deals another blow to policyholders
Money Box is Radio 4's award-winning personal finance programme, broadcast Saturdays at 1200hrs.

Equitable Life policyholders suffered another blow on Monday, with the announcement that the troubled mutual was increasing early exit penalties and cutting surrender values.

Are you a policyholder? How does it feel to be told you could lose 20% of your policy value if you leave the troubled assurer before your policy matures?
