Guitars
Guitar sales in the UK have hit an all-time high. Musicians splashed out £110 million on electric, bass and acoustic instruments last year - up from £102 million in 2004. The Music Industries Association (MIA) said an influx of cheaper models made in China had pushed down prices. Guitars are the "bedrock" of UK instrument sales with nearly a million sold last year - up 200,000 on 2004, the MIA said.

Alfie is the car mechanic turned opera singer. He is appearing at the Royal Festival Hall on the 21 September and his first album is out 11 September.

Saving the Vulcan
We reported from Bruntingthorpe on the campaign to save one of the last remaining Vulcan aircraft. Those involved in restoring the aircraft are trying to raise money to restore the plane.

Greek Fires
Our main story this morning is the forest fires raging in Northern Greece, near the holiday resort of Casandra, in Halkidiki. Around 1,000 British people have been evacuated. The latest word is that there are no British casualties at all, but one German tourist is believed to have drowned during the evacuation.
If you're worried about close relatives who may be staying in the area, the Foreign Office have a special helpline number: 020 7008 1500.

Baby comforter
The baby comforter in the shape of a hand which we're looking at is called a Zaky. It's manufactured in the US - but is on sale in the UK.
Business competition
The winners of the Young Entrepreneur competition we featured were Fresh - the team of school children who produced "goodie bags" from recycled newspaper and filled them with beauty products.
Author
We're talking to the author Stephanie Calman, whose just published a new book to follow up Confessions of a Bad Mother. It's called Confessions of a Failed Grown Up.
TV talent show

We heard from Melissa Porter and Adam Henson, who present a new programme that is a spin-off from Countryfile. Countryfile Summer Diaries begins on BBC One, on Monday 21 August at 1000am.

Jaye Jacobs
The actress Jaye Jacobs is no stranger to dramatic storylines. She plays naughty nurse Donna Jackson in the BBC drama Holby City, and came into the Breakfast studio on Friday. Holby City is on BBC One, Tuesday at 8pm

Starring Samuel L Jackson, was released in the United States this week. It's not being shown in the UK at the moment.

If you're suffering violence or threats from anyone within your own home, you can turn for help and advice to many organisations, including Women's Aid

Computers and second hand data
We followed up a story from BBC One's Real Story programme, about the theft of data from second hand computers. Our expert said there are some free programmes such as Eraser and D-ban which promise to wipe sensitive data. But he did add that the surest way to get rid of it is to take a hammer to your computer's hard drive.

Blizzard: Race to the pole
We spoke to Arthur Jeffes and Chris Van Tulleken about a new documentary series. Two teams of English and Norwegian explorers recreate the 1911 race to the South Pole between Amundsen and Scott. Over 99 days and 1400 miles, under the same conditions, the teams attempt to settle the controversies that still rage around the original race. Checking your credit record
Our business presenter Declan Curry is asking for your e-mails on checking your credit status, as a report says that many banks and other financial institutions hold inaccurate records. There are several websites which will offer to check your record. The latest to launch is called annualcreditreport.co.uk. But there are also three other credit reference agencies: Equifax, Experian and Callcredit.
Burglary
We talked to the reformed burglar who is now helping the BBC produce the latest series of Beat the Burglar.
