A private museum in Belfast has paid more than £28,000 for a postcard-sized lunch menu from the Titanic.
The rare menu was among 14 items from the ill-fated vessel which were sold at Sotheby's auction house in London on Tuesday.
The menu was given to the wife of a senior officer on board the ship, Charles Lightoller, before he left Southampton on the luxury liner.
Its price, £28,800 was over twice its pre-sale estimate of £12,000.
The menu included a variety of foods such as Consommé Mirrette, Salmon and Golden Plover on Toast.
A Sotheby's spokeswoman said the auction house was delighted with the sale.
"We knew the menu was extremely rare but obviously it still doubled its pre-sale estimate which is very exciting."
Other items sold included a manuscript written by Mr Lightoller, who was the Second Officer on the ship, which was also bought by the Belfast museum.
