Church fire will 'create fear'
Fire damage at St Macnissi's Church Hall
This is the third time St Macnissi's Church premises have been attacked
A fire at a Catholic church hall in Antrim is thought to have been started deliberately.

It's the third time St Macnissi's on the Chapeltown Road has been attacked in recent months.

The blaze on Friday night caused extensive damage to the roof and stage area.

The arson attack has been condemned by the Ulster Unionist Assembly member Jim Wilson and his Alliance Party counterpart David Ford who said it would create fear and tension in the community.

Firefighters have also dealt with outbreaks in Dungiven and Newcastle.

An office at New Street in Dungiven was destroyed in the fire that started just before 1000 GMT on Saturday.

The blaze at the office of a civil engineering firm is understood to have started accidentally.

In Newcastle, County Down, two people were rescued from a fire at a flat in Burrendale Park Road.

A man was treated for the effects of breathing in smoke after he pulled an elderly woman to safety from a neighbouring flat.
