The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall started their first official engagement as a couple in Scotland
The tour started with a visit to Lily Jewellery and Accessories in Castle Douglas
The shop was set up by a 25-year-old local woman with help from the Prince of Wales' Scottish Youth Business Trust
The couple were also given a tour of Threave House and Gardens in Castle Douglas
Later in the day, Prince Charles and Camilla met young people from Edinburgh involved in a one-day clean-up
The conservationists demonstrated how the project was improving the local environment
Charles laughed and chatted with the youngsters, who had been knee-deep in water and mud moments earlier
Members of the team explained how they had benefited from the project
Camilla appeared relaxed throughout the engagements
In the evening, the couple went to the Scottish Parliament to attend a reception hosted by Presiding Officer George Reid
