A drought in Spain and Portugal is the worst since the 1940s. This is Portugal's Pereiras dam, 275km south of Lisbon.

Many Spanish reservoirs are at 20% of normal levels. This one has one month's supply left for the 60,000 people of Huesca.

The nearby Mediano reservoir is so dry, that this church, normally under water, is now fully visible.
