Student scales seven mountains

Jake Meyer, 21, has become the youngest Briton to reach the top of the "seven summits" - the highest mountains in each of the seven continents.

The Bristol University student, from Tetbury, reached the summit of Everest at the weekend.

Jake began climbing at 13, and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, the first summit on his journey, aged 15.

By climbing Everest, he also raised money for the Children's Wish Foundation.

Jake travelled with Sir Ranulph Fiennes - who abandoned his Everest summit challenge - for part of the journey.
