A gas well in Chongqing, in south-western China, was still burning three days after Tuesday's huge explosion.

The blast released poisonous gases, injuring thousands of residents.

The leak turned an area of 25 sq. kms into a death zone - at least 191 were killed.

The bodies of people and farm animals were left strewn along roads.

The victims - including many children - suffered from acid burns.

Many are being treated in local hospitals after inhaling toxic fumes.

Tens of thousands have been evacuated from a radius of five kilometres (three miles) of the explosion.
