Other shows shortlisted were Coronation Street and The Bill
TV soap Emmerdale has topped a poll of ITV's This Morning viewers asked to chose which of the channel's programmes should appear on a set of stamps.

Viewers were asked to choose between a shortlist of three soaps which also included long-running favourites Coronation Street and The Bill.

The competition was held to mark ITV's 50th anniversary, which is in September this year.

Emmerdale won 36% of the vote to appear on the Royal Mail stamps later in 2005.
