Channel 5 has poached the BBC's Million Pound Property Experiment design gurus Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan.
The Scottish duo became household names when they started off by developing a £100k house in Birmingham.
They have been promised peak-time property, entertainment and lifestyle programmes in the two-year deal.
The pair - who are partners in their private life as well as on screen - said: "We are delighted to be joining Five at this exciting time."
McAllister and Ryan's previous credits include the BBC One daytime series Trading Up in the Sun, an overseas spin-off which helped people buy homes in France, Spain and Cyprus.
They are also veterans of the BBC makeover series Housecall and they recently made £267,679 for Children in Need.
Five's controller of features and entertainment Ben Frow said he was "delighted" with the deal.
