Mills removes false leg on live TV
Larry King and Heather Mills on Larry king Live
Mills unclipped her leg and put it on King's table
Heather Mills McCartney, the wife of former Beatle Sir Paul, has removed her false leg on a US talk show while publicising her anti-landmines charity.

The former model, who lost her leg after a road accident with a police motorcycle in 1993, took her artificial limb off after veteran TV host Larry King asked her about it.

"This is just basically, not to be dramatic, but just to show people," she told King while unbuckling the limb before putting it on the table.

The former model allowed King to touch her leg, and talked about her stump, which still has full feeling.

The couple married earlier this year
"If you touch it, it makes me feel like my toes are completely opening and Paul's going to get upset you're touching my leg, Larry," she joked.

Mills McCartney married the Beatles legend earlier this year in an Irish Castle, after a two-year romance.

She admitted on the show, Larry King Live, that she had wanted a "small, quiet ceremony" but that McCartney wanted a bigger wedding.

She added: "Paul said 'I want the world to know I'm proud to be married to you'."

Mills is in the US to publicise her charity and has also just released her latest biography, called A Single Step, in America.
