Full steam ahead for UK thriller
Franke Potente
The part was written especially for Potente
British thriller Creep has been given a £1.26m lottery grant from the UK Film Council's Premiere Fund.

The film is based on a woman trapped on a dark train with a stalker, and hopes to emulate the success of hit UK movie 28 Days Later, also shot in London.

Creep will star German actress Franke Potente, who appeared in The Bourne Identity and cult hit Run Lola Run.

The film is a debut for director Chris Smith and will shoot on location in Cologne in Germany as well as London.

"She (Potente) finds herself trapped and playing a cat and mouse game with her pursuer. Her nightmare has just begun," said a spokesman.

The part was specially written for Potente. It also stars Sean Harris from 24 Hour Party People and former Holby City actor Jeremy Sheffied.
