The hair was sold with a note from Dickens' sister-in-law

A lock of author Charles Dickens' hair has been sold for £3,120 - more than five times its estimated price tag.
The hair was auctioned with a note of authentication from his sister-in-law and housekeeper Georgina Hogarth.
It was sold in London by Bonhams on Tuesday for £3,120, including premium and tax, after previously being given an estimated value of £400 to £600.
The Great Expectations and Christmas Carol author died in 1870. The hair went to a telephone bidder from the US.
The note from Ms Hogarth read: "I certify this Lock of Hair to be that of my Brother-in-law Charles Dickens."
